The Cuban Missile Crisis put the world on the edge of its seat, and was the closest humanity has ever gotten to full-scale nuclear war. Even though the event lasted a mere two weeks (from October 14-24, 1962), it played a significant role in international politics, and its effects can still be seen today. The Cuban Missile Crisis is significant to current international relations because it proved the importance of the need for information, and the importance of taking risks. Had the United States been more willing to discuss a compromise between Cuba and the U.S., the crisis may have never even occurred. Much of the information that is available today about the Cuban Missile Crisis was not available to the people who needed it the most. One of the most devastating issues during the crisis was obtaining the proper information in order for each leader to make apt decisions. On October 14, an American U2 spy plane photographed military bases in Cuba, which, after close examination, proved the existence of nuclear warheads (Schroeder, â€Å"Cuban Missile Crisis†). However, these photographs lacked in providing the capability and range of the warheads. More intelligence revealed that there were three different types of nuclear missiles based in Cuba, ones that could reach a maximum distance of 630 na utical miles, 1020 nautical miles, and even 2200 nautical miles (â€Å"USSR Missile Ranges†). Transgender individuals are finding that their changes in lifestyle are slowly becoming accepted in the communities that they live in, but there are still progressive problems that they must face. When people who are considering becoming transgender, they describe the process as realizing that they are supposed to be a different gender, however, their body does not represent that. Most of the time their changing process will result in changing their temporary appearance to appear more as the opposite gender. Their identity that most seem themselves as is changed and represents the person they want to be; their occupations, clothing, and attitude are the first major items that people will change about themselves in order to be looked at differently in their society. How far do these sources suggest that young Henry VIII was an impressive figure as a king? In the 16th century an impressive figure of a king would mean that he demonstrated power both physically and economically and a good education. However as source two suggests, Henry might be considered less than impressive as he shows insecurities. A stronger argument though is that Henry did demonstrate the features of an impressive king as he had all the attributes listed above which is clear from all three sources. Therefore we can infer that source one is a reliable source, this lends weight to the strongest argument that Henry VII was an impressive fgure as king. Henry tried to portray himself as a warrior king during his early reign showing his mpressive fgure as king. Source two implies that Henry was an impressive warrior king because he says â€Å"look here and I also have a good calf to my leg†. This shows that he is physically impressive, a characteristic of an impressive warrior king.
